Best Management Practices for Golden-winged Warblers

Recently, the Appalachian Mountains Joint Venture released "Golden-winged Warbler Habitat Best Management Practices for Forestlands in Maryland and Pennsylvania" by Drs. Jeff Larkin and Marja Bakermans at Indiana University of Pennsylvania released.

If you'd like more information, the authors presented these BMPs as a Natural Resources Conservation Service webinar (available here under "Multidisciplinary Monthly Webinars" and "Golden-Winged Warbler Ecology and Guidelines for Creating Breeding Habitat on Forestlands".

Though these BMPs target PA and MD, many of the ideas presented are applicable to breeding habitat throughout the range especially in the Appalachian Mountains.
