National Conservation Training Center: Bird-Related Courses

These upcoming courses are applicable to a wide variety of persons inside and outside the USFWS. Please pass along to any staff or partners you work with that might benefit from these courses.

Migratory Bird Conservation: A Trust Responsibility - CSP2102
February 11– February 15, 2013, National Conservation Training Center at Shepherdstown, WV Biologists, natural resource professionals and law enforcement personnel responsible for implementing and administering Federal agency actions that have potential for impacting migratory birds. Federal Agency representatives engaged in implementing Executive Order 13186 (Responsibilities of Federal Agencies to Protect Migratory Birds) are especially encouraged to attend.

Basic Bird Biology - CSP 2100
May 6-10, 2013 National Conservation Training Center at Shepherdstown, WV
The goal of the Basic Bird Biology course is to provide a general understanding of birds for staff within the Migratory Bird program, Field Offices, Refuges, and other FWS programs that might deal with birds in their daily jobs but are not trained wildlife biologists or do not have expertise with birds.
