Science Pipes: A New Tool for Disributing Dynamic Scientific Information

The Cornell Lab of Ornithology has released a beta version of Science Pipes, a new tool for organizing and visualizing dynamic information online.  Results can be imbedded in webpages, blogs, etc. It is similar to the successful Yahoo Pipes idea, but with specific tools for scientific data. Currently, Science Pipes provides links to Avian Knowledge Network data, WildFinder (Crossing Boundaries) data, Cemetery Demography data, Darwin's Finches data, Forest Population Structure data, and North American Pollen data.

As a very simple example, here is a histogram of Bachman's sparrow observations from eBird (for all years of eBird data) from this pipe. Science Pipes can also use your own data, either uploaded to their server or pulled dynamically from another internet location.
