The National Park Service Southeast Coast Inventory & Monitoring Network is looking for a highly motivated candidate for its vacant GS-5 Physical Science Technician position to assist with the implementation of coastal shoreline change, salt marsh elevation/vegetation, and other monitoring protocols in National Park Service units of NC, SC, GA, and FL.
Typical work will primarily involve the collection and analysis of coastal wetland vegetation data and mapping beach habitats using GPS, but the successful applicant will also assist with other aspects of field work including water quality, plant community, bird, and amphibian monitoring throughout the network.
