Recent opening at IWJV:
Would you like to make significant contributions toward integrated wetland management, coastal conservation, and the recovery of shorebird populations in North America? Manomet Center for Conservation Sciences has an immediate opening for a talented coordinator for the Shorebird Habitats Project to work with a wide array of partner organizations and individuals across the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
The Shorebird Habitats Project position reports to the Director of Shorebird Habitat Management in the Shorebird Recovery Program, one of Manomet’s core initiatives. Location is negotiable, but presence at key functions at Manomet, and travel to wetland management sites throughout the country, are important aspects of the position. SRP is currently comprised of nine people who together provide original shorebird science, conservation coordination, technical assistance, and site-based management services.
The key role of the Shorebird Habitat Project Coordinator will be to develop and assist a network of wetlands management partners in order to foster and promote a culture of shorebird conservation through implementation of conservation initiatives and management actions.
