Job Opportunities: Audubon Coastal Project Manager & National Bird Conservation Social Science Coordinator

NC Audubon in Wilmington, NC is currently hiring for the job position of Coastal Program Manager. Audubon North Carolina currently has an 114-year presence on the coast and manages a system of 20 sanctuaries on which the majority of NC Waterbirds depend upon for their survival. The Coastal Program Manager will be responsible for all job aspects concerning bird conservation on the North Carolina Coast. Ashley Dayer's lab of Virginia Tech is also hiring for the position of National Bird Conservation Social Science Coordinator – Research Associate. The Social Science Coordinator will also serve as co-chair of NABCI's Human Dimensions subcommittee on matters of US Bird Conservation. The social science coordinator will be responsible for identifying issues in bird conservation that are priorities for social science research, connect bird conservation partnerships that require social science support, serve as a liaison between researchers and bird conservation, apply results from social sciences tat are relevant to bird conservation, and contribute to social science research relevant to bird conservation on topics with broad transferability. The research will focus on a few main topics that are further discussed in the job description.
